Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
Government agencies and international law are challenging the Constitutional right of parents to raise their children as they see fit. U.S. Representative Pete Hoekstra from Michigan has proposed legislation that would simply state in unmistakable terms what was commonly understood by our founders and generations through the last two centuries: that parents are the primary guiding authority in the nurturing, development and education of their own children.
Who would think parents would ever have to defend this right? Think again.
Learn about the threat of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, the unbelievable cases that have already been advanced in our own country with a frightening amount of success and the implications for parents and families. Read the proposed amendment.
Please forward this information to your friends, neighbors and relatives. Contact your U.S. Senators and your U.S. Representative if you do not see their name as a co-sponsor of this effort to protect our families and children. A vote is expected on the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child during the fall 2009 legislative session. Our legislators must understand that it is not okay with their constituents that our nation concede our sovereignty at all, and especially not over our children!
